Freedom isn't Free

Senior Airman Mark. A Forester

I have been reminded again this week that our precious freedom is not free. A good family friend made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan this week. As I have thought about his life and death I am again reminded how grateful I am for our men and women in uniform that are (in the words of Mark's best friend) "brave as Hell".

Please pray for his family and all the other families who have recently lost loved ones in Freedom's name. We are very blessed to live in a free country, but that is only afforded to us because people like Mark are willing to pay the price.

Oh Linds....military deaths are so hard for me to hear about. So many lives affected, so many sad stories, so many loved ones left behind. I hate it. So sorry to hear about your friend's death. We will definitely keep him and his family in our prayers!
